I came across a comment on Slashdot from someone that is interesting. The Jedi’s get their powers from bloodline (i.e. the Skywalker clan). Midiclorians are responsible, so it is pretty much all genetic.
The Light Side Jedi are not allow to get into relationships, much less have sex. Ani isn’t supposed to be doing anything with Amidala and he goes to the dark side in a big way a bit down the road.
So it would seem that the dark jedi (who probably have lots of sex, cause bad guys do that ) will continue to grow and the light side will be out numbered by a long shot.

The Chamber of Secrets Trailer was released today at Harry Potter | Daily Prophet | Sep 13, 2002. It looks a lot like the spirit of original from the scenes shown in the trailer. The movie opens in theatres on November 15th.
