Sci Fi Wire — The News Service of the Sci Fi Channel - Farscape is returning as a mini-series. Yay!

Zap2it - TV news - - This should be fun. Hopefully, they will do this well. There are so many ways this could go wrong, but I loved ALF.

SyFy Portal - It’s still a rumor that the miniseries will eventually turn into a series for the Sci Fi Channel, but who really thinks it wouldn’t at this point?

CNN.com - Death of Jonathan Brandis ruled suicide - Nov. 25, 2003 - There are many folks who compare Star Trek’s Wesley with the character Jonathan played on SeaQuest (Lucas). Even Wil Wheaton himself has on his own weblog. Although, I didn’t really like how each character came across in each series, I still felt I had a connection with them.

Perhaps, it’s just the geek in me (both characters were geeks in the shows. In real life, I have no idea if Jonathan was a geek. Wil on the other hand is a self proclaimed geek, which makes it really cool to go read his weblog and see what he’s up to.

Obviously, the characters in the shows haven’t died. I guess it’s that geek in me that feels sad that the real life guy who made the geeky character come alive has died. It’s hard to explain.

Interestingly, Wil has an entry about Jonathan’s death also and a comparison between himself and Jonathan. WIL WHEATON DOT NET: grinding halt

Update on 04/25/06: Jonathanbrandis.org - This site is a memorial to him. It has a good number of links, pictures, etc. and seems to be updated fairly often (and recently.)

FOX Broadcasting Company: The O.C. - The OC has moved nights. I was originally planned for Oct 30, but now the website says Wednesday’s at 9pm (29th).

I think it’s now up against, Smallville and Angel.

the futon critic - the web’s best primetime television resource - The OC will definately be getting a whole season of new shows.

I really enjoy this show so far. It’s new and I think it has potential, but at the same time I also expect it to fall into the same traps as all the other shows of its type. Until then, I plan to enjoy every minute.

SyFy Portal - This is gunna suck. One TiVo … two shows at the same time!

A source to SyFy Portal said that the mission of the NX-01 is not the only thing being changed this season. The words “Star Trek” are being added back to the title.

Theory is that this is due to Smallville being on at the same time this fall. Clark … Trip … Clark … Trip. (Clark is hotter in my book!)

Sci Fi Wire — The News Service of the Sci Fi Channel - Sadness… Like many, I grew up on Star Trek. Although everything now has high tech looking ships with great special effects, the first Enterprise (the one created in 1967 or so) was special to me. That ship held a bunch of childhood fantasies for me.

What an odd feeling.. This guy wasn’t even a character on the show.

TV Guide Online - [Today's Review] - TV Guide gives this series a big thumbs down. In any case, if your a fan, the next season starts tonight on the SciFi channel.

CNN.com - They’re back: ‘V’ to invade NBC again - Jun. 9, 2003 - I just read this when I got back from vacation. Totally happy about this. I just recently watch V and V The Final Battle about a month ago. It was the first time I had seen these in many years and it is still very good in my book.

I originally saw this on SciFi Wire but I cannot find the link. I will update when I find it.

Sci Fi Wire — Galactica Mixes Old and New

Yeah!.. I cannot wait to see the new ships. I always liked the Viper design (even had the toy as a kid!) With the special effects that can be done now vs. in the 70’s, they should look great.

So what did everyone think of the Buffy finale!?

I can’t wait to see what they do with this. I am far to skeptical about a female Starbuck though. This site is cool, just because of the Flash intro with the woo woo noise!

BBC - Cult - Doctor Who - Shada - by Douglas Adams

This is kinda neat. It’s a Flash movie (RealPlayer too) for the episode of Dr. Who that Douglas Adams wrote: Shada. It is being released in parts.

Twilight Zone will be bring back the cast from a way older episode. From what I saw in the preview, Bill Mummy will be tonight as an adult. Bill Mummy was the kid in Lost in Space and he also played a character in Babylon five. Check you local listings :-)… its on UPN.
