New 3-D Movie Technology

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2005

Entertainment News Article | Reuters.co.uk - I wonder what this could mean for folks with a bad eye.

Will this new 3-D moving making thing be so big, that in 10 years everything will use it? Having only one functional eye, prevents me from ever finding out what is so great about this.

I suppose it’s selfish, but part of me doesn’t ever want to see this happen. I will probably never be able to experience or enjoy them and they could be so popular (who really knows at this point?) that movies of today could go away (like black and white).

Knowing full well that’s the wrong attitude and that it could be an experience millions could enjoy, I do hope they have some provision for single eye’d folks to be able to enjoy these films.

Have you ever watched a cheesy 3D movie released on TV? or closed one eye while wearing those blue and red glasses from hell?

Harry Potter 3rd Movie Preview

Wednesday, April 7th, 2004

Sci Fi Wire — The News Service of the Sci Fi Channel - It’s coming soon. The hype begins. I cannot wait to see the third movie. The article says:

According to the ABC Web site, the network will be running an extended edition of Sorcerer’s Stone, with footage not seen in the 2001 theatrical release.

Does anyone know if these are the same deleted scenes on the DVD? Hmm.. have I seen the deleted scenes on the DVD? *brain fart* .. I guess I should go watch.

Cats and Dogs

Tuesday, November 25th, 2003

Cats & Dogs (2001) - You have to be in a certain mood to like this. Apparently I was! This movie rocked.

To top it off, after about an hour and fifteen minutes into it, I realized who was doing the voice of Lou. None other than….

Yet another sequal - Shrek!

Sunday, November 9th, 2003

SHREK 2 — MAY 21, 2004 - Not so far, far away…

Well, May seems far away if ya ask me! I’m into that whole immediate gratification thing. I wasn’t before. Then I saw the trailer. Go watch …

The Fanamatrix

Wednesday, October 1st, 2003

Fanimatrix - A very neat fan made movie. I think the guy and girl look to much like Neo and Trinity though. Might have been better to make sure they looked different if they are going to have different names.

New Batman Movie

Saturday, August 2nd, 2003

Sci Fi Wire — The News Service of the Sci Fi Channel - I do hope it has the style of the first one. The rest of the Batman movies sucked teenie tiny rocks.

I have to imagine that the creators of these things hear the same thing over and over and that they would attempt to create something new and fresh, but to hold onto the part that everyone seemed to enjoy. The darkness and tone of the first movie. The rest had brighter colors and ridiculous lines. Ice dude Arnold? who thought that would be cool - cool pun, huh?!

According to the news clip:

Batman 5 is scheduled for release in 2005.

Batman Fan Film

Thursday, July 24th, 2003

TFN FanFilms | Short Films | Batman: Dead End - This is pretty cool. Go watch :-)

Hitchhiker’s Guide Movie News

Tuesday, June 17th, 2003

Sci Fi Wire — The News Service of the Sci Fi Channel - More movie news on Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. I heard somewhere the movie was planned, but this confirms it is progressing. I cannot wait to see Marvin (my hero ;-)).

Garfield the Movie

Saturday, May 31st, 2003

Sci Fi Wire — Garfield Based on Real Cat

They are going to make a Garfield movie? Well, supposed if they can make Scooby, why not a fat cat? I wonder who will play Jon.

I saw the Matrix

Thursday, May 15th, 2003

A very very fun movie. It’s late though and I can’t figure out what I can say that wouldn’t ruin the movie.

I can; however, tell say these things:

They had a Terminator 3 preview. July 2nd is the release date.

After the movie is over, stay for all the credits (they are long too… especially after drinking a coke and you’ve held it through the entire movie!). There is a trailer for the 3rd Matrix movie after the credits.

Matrix Today

Wednesday, May 14th, 2003

I am confused but happy. Matrix seems to have opened today instead of tomorrow. Most of the theatres around town have already sold of tickets this evening. I did find one at 11:30 though that is near my place. :-) I can’t wait.

X2 Earns $155.2M

Excellent! 4th biggest premiere dollarwise. It should be pretty good. I wish I could have contributed to opening weekend. Hopefully, I can see it soon.

X2

Sunday, May 4th, 2003

So has anyone seen X-Men 2? I haven’t had a chance yet. I hope to find time this week. Do NOT spoil anything for me! :-)
