Quadrant 99

Bloglines had been giving me errors when trying to subscribe to my weblog. After a bit-o-research, I ended up using the latest stable Wordpress and things worked for a few days.

Now Bloglines is doing it again. Originally, I thought it was conditional gets that may have been causing issues. Now I am not sure.

Just to tick me off more, my archive links no longer work. I guess the rewrite rules do not work as expected. I think this is a new issue. Wordpress generates the rewrite rules and we’re supposed to just copy and paste them into the htaccess file. The rules look good, but I’m stumped.

Add to this all the comment spam and maintanecn to delete the messages every day (there are alot), I’m tempted to just shut the site down. (mostly for the spam issues.. the other things could be fixed. I’m just really tired of horkin’ around with it).

Science Fiction News of the Week - In the middle of the page somehwere is the article. The Gaylactic folks are the people who organized the convention I went to a couple years back and will be doing another in 2004.

Sci Fi Wire — Starbuck Won’t Romance Apollo

If your a fan of original series, seeing a headline like this is just kinda cute (especially being gay).

This article is in reference to the new series Sci Fi is doing. Starbuck isn’t gay in this one. They just changed his character into a female. I still do not know how I feel about that.

Update: As if to answer my concern, I saw this too. It’s very hard for me to imagine the character as a female.

I was told there is a full lunar eclipse tomorrow evening. Hopefully, if it’s true (I’ve not had a chance to confirm this yet), the skies will clear up for it. It is pretty darn cloudy out there right now.
